Manchester Outpatient Treatment welcomes you and your family to our treatment community, where we believe that every individual has the ability to heal through the process of recovery.

Manchester Outpatient Treatment is a family-founded, providing evidence-based integrated treatment for mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders since 2001.

With Residential and Assertive Community Treatment programs built upon evidence-based practices pioneered at Dartmouth Psychiatric Research Center, we address mental illness and substance use disorders together, in the same setting, by the same treatment team.

Men come from all over the country for our specialized treatment and we fully integrate both family and community into every stage of the treatment process. We provide an effective healing atmosphere for our participants and fully support them through their journey of recovery. For dually diagnosed men over 18 and their families, our programs provide more than treatment. They provide hope.

Who we treat

Manchester Outpatient Treatment treats men 18 and older who are experiencing mental illness* with co-occurring substance use. Our specialties include treating:

Thought disorders (including Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder) with co-occurring substance use
Mood disorders (including Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder) with co-occurring substance use
Anxiety disorders with co-occurring substance use
Post-traumatic Stress Disorder with co-occurring substance use
*Can include symptoms of these disorders, a formal diagnosis is not required.

Strong Outcomes with Evidence-Based Practices

By fully utilizing evidence-based practices by a caring treatment team we are able to provide integrated dual disorder treatment that works! Our evidence-based treatment approaches have been extensively researched and demonstrated to be effective for individuals experiencing co-occurring disorders. Men can, and do, recover.

Family Inclusion & Participation
We have seen that recovery is best fostered when family members are involved in the treatment and decision-making process. Our Family Recovery Resource Program is comprised of our family education and support curriculum, clinical updates, family mentoring, webinars, online peer groups and more. By embracing these supports, families learn to manage the impact of co-occurring disorders while simultaneously reconnecting and healing together.

Community Integration

Individuals have higher rates of self-esteem, value, and recovery when actively engaged in their community. Participants in our Residential Program utilize the YMCA, attend AA meetings, engage in social and wellness activities, and work to improve independent living skills. For those in our Assertive Community Treatment Program, many clinical services, as well as supported employment, volunteerism, and education, are provided in the local community.
